About Tourne-Sol CSA

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between farmers and member families. Members invest in the farm by paying in advance for a weekly delivery of fresh vegetables for the duration of the growing season. This helps farmers cover early-season costs such as seeds, field materials, and labour.

CSA members accept the risk that weather and pests may effect the availability or abundance of certain crops at certain times.  We commit to providing diverse, seasonal baskets of our exceptionally fresh, local produce.

How does our CSA work?

Members sign up for the full CSA season (mid-June to mid-October). Tourne-Sol farm offers one size of basket. You can choose to pick it up every week or every 2 weeks (bi-weekly).

Each basket contains 9-12 certified organic vegetables grown on our farm. The contents of the baskets change with the season.

The weekly basket provides enough vegetables for the weekly needs of a family of 3-4, or a couple that eat a lot of vegetables. The bi-weekly basket is better suited to individuals or couples.

Members choose from two drop-off locations from which to collect their vegetables.  At the drop off, we also sell additional vegetables and these products from local producers: honey, frozen meat, fresh goat cheese and sunflower oil.

The weekly basket costs $530 for the season; the bi-weekly basket costs $284.  We also offer an additional fall basket of storage vegetables at the end of October, for $55.
