l'équipe Tourne-Sol
From left to right: Frédéric Thériault, Reid Allaway, Renée Primeau, Emily Board and Daniel Brisebois, the five founding members of Tourne-Sol co-operative farm.

Who are we?

We are a group of young farmers, joined by our collective desire to establish a sustainable agriculture project in our region. We seek to improve access to certified organic products in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region as well as to pursue the promotion of organic agriculture as a viable and dynamic alternative for Québec's agricultural future.

We chose to launch our enterprise in the form of a workers' co-operative in order to achieve our goals and promote co-operative business structures as well as to benefit from the many strengths of this structure. Co-operative structures are more participatory and democratic than conventional business and we believe that this model holds great potential for progressive and egalitarian development.

Our Mission :

Tourne-Sol co-operative farm is an agricultural, ecological and community project which strives for long term sustainability. The co-operative's mission is: to produce, in accordance with organic standards and agro-ecological principles, a diversity of high quality agricultural products; to ensure the ecological stability of the land in our care; to promote the development of organic agriculture in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region; and to build strong ties in the communutiy of Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

Organic Vegetable Baskets

With our program of weekly organic vegetable baskets we deliver diverse baskets of certified organic vegetables to more than 150 families between Valleyfield and Montreal. Our vegetable baskets vary with the seasons and provide a supply of exceptionally fresh, high quality organic vegetables to individuals and families in our region. See our CSA baskets page for more information.

Fall Vegetable Baskets

In the fall we offer a short vegetable basket program which offers a wide variety of storage vegetables produced on our farm along with recipes and tips for making the most of these excellent but sometimes less well-known local vegetables. See our fall baskets page for more information.
