Bake it in the oven like a potato!
Prick squash with a fork so the skin won’t burst while cooking. Bake in a pan in the oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour, (depending on the size), until tender.
Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Cut squash in half (length wise) and remove seeds. With a fork, scoop the squash flesh out into a bowl. It should comb out easily into spaghetti like strings.
Serve warm with butter and parmesan cheese or topped with tomato sauce.
